Try these out! Test #1: https://enchroma.com/pages/color-blindness-test#test Test #2: colormax.org/color-blind-test/ Teen Art Club at BPL
The Teen Education and Creation Hub (TECH Lab) at Billings Public Library is starting its own teen art club! The club will be led by Damin, a TECH Lab mentor and life-long, self taught artist. Members of this fall's art group will learn essential drawing fundamentals such as the human figure, perspective, and composition. These methods will allow teens to more easily draw what they see or bring to life the places and characters of their imagination. This program will be very adaptive to participants' interests. Among the areas we might explore are: character, creature, and vehicle design; portraits; and/or symbolism and visual communication. No previous training or education is required, just a desire to be creative and improve your skills. The library will provide basic supplies, although teens can feel free to bring their own items. The art club will meet every Wednesday at 5 pm in the TECH Lab, starting on Sept. 20th. Sign-up is required, to call 657-8290 to join the group today! Details: Time: Every Wednesday, 5 pm in the TECH Lab Cost: FREE Registration is required. Call 657-8290 or stop by the 2nd floor Help Desk at the Library to sign up! Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful start to the school year! I am so excited to meet you all!. This year I will be teaching at Bitterroot, Newman, Big Sky, Meadowlark, and Orchard. We will be joined again this fall by Miss Shayla who will be starting her student teaching this year! Stay tuned to find out which school gets to start Art Club this year!
Good day mates! I hope you all had a wonderful break! Please watch this short video on Australian Aboriginal Art. The Aboriginal people are the oldest surviving culture on Earth. For our next assignment, we will be talking about the dot painting style of Aboriginal art and the story behind it. Start thinking of an Australian animal that you would like to use for your next art piece. Today, you may practice making a digital dot composition on the Lite Brite game under Art Activities after you watch the video. I will help you save your picture to your Google Drive if you'd like to keep it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoHAn58-_rg Recently, some of our classes have been discussing right brain vs. left brain tendencies. Find out which side you lean toward here: Quiz 1 Quiz 2 Quiz 3 Left Careers: http://work.chron.com/common-jobs-leftbrained-people-5457.html Right Careers: http://work.chron.com/right-brain-careers-10335.html Our annual 4th grade show at the Billings Public Library will run from Monday, April 3 - Wednesday, April 12th, with a reception from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April, 6th.
